During my time at this school, I have learned and grown so much. In my lessons, I strive to teach my students to be more confident in their use of the English language. I seek is to create an environment where my students feel comfortable to express themselves and to push the limits of their abilities. My aim is to lift the knowledge from my student’s textbooks and apply them to as many real life situations as possible. Some say my teaching methods are unconventional but I have found them to be highly successful. Cultural awareness forms a big part of all my lessons it’s just one more way I try to narrow the cultural barrier between the east and the west. | | Christopher Mark Law | 男 | 英国 | 初15级(实验校) | I am the oral English teacher for Junior 2 (grade 8). In my classes, I try to use the time to allow my students to use the language they have been taught in a speaking environment. In addition, I try to teach my students more about British culture as they are curious to learn about my home country. I try to challenge them to think for themselves and come up with their own opinions, rather than strictly memorizing and dictating. My goal is to enable them to think in English, maintain an open mind, and ask questions at any given opportunity.

I aim to be supportive and encouraging to students, so that they can gain the self confidence to speak freely in the classroom and outside of school. I incorporate games in my lessons to provide fun while learning, and teach the students popular English songs to not only help them to utilise the language, but also to provide an entertaining and enjoyable classroom experience. | | Ragnhild By | 女 | 挪威 | 城北校区高13级,高12级 | When I teach, I try to consider all the different students and their needs and interest. I use a variety of activities to motivate and keep the students involved. I always try to keep the tasks simple enough to make the students feel comfortable with using the language, but at the same time give them opportunity to extend their vocabulary and explore their English. I want them to know why learning English could be useful for them and make it fun at the same time. | | Aimee White | 女 | 英国 | 集团学校 | I like to make my lessons as interactive as possible, so I make sure I use lots of different activities and games. This keeps the pupils focused, and by involving them as much as possible during the lessons, they are confidently practicing English as well which they can apply to real life situations. I also think it is important for pupils to work together so that they can learn from and help each other too.
